Pairs & Singles Competitions for 2009
Singles
for the Open Pairs and Singles will be held at
Byker Key Club on Thursday 4th February 2010.
8.00pm Open Singles Questionnaire.
8.40pm Open Pairs Questionnaire.
9.30pm 1st Open Singles Semi Final
9.50pm 2nd Open Singles Semi Final
10.10pm 1st Open Pairs Semi Final
10.30pm 2nd Open Pairs Semi Final
competitions.
The Open Pairs and Singles are open to all players in the League, and qualifiers were held ah time the pair have t the Key Club, on 7th February 2008.
Open Singles:-
2007 Champion: David Morrison (East End Liberal Club)
The four qualifiers from the 50 question paper were:-
- David Morrison (East End Liberal Club - 36);
- Dave Lowther (Byker PTE - 34);
- Neil Saint (
Semi-finals:
- David Morrison bt David Lowther 24-13.
- Neil Saint bt Mike Sowerby 14-7.

The four qualifying pairs from the 50 question paper were:-
- Brian Coughtrey & David Morrison (East End Liberal Club - 34);
- Billy Hutchinson & Mike Sowerby (Leeholme SC - 25);
- Paul Finch & David Lowther (Byker PTE - 25) &
- Dave Guttridge and Paul Lumsden (The Bene - 22).

Qualifiers for the B and C Division Pairs & Singles were be held at Byker Key Club on Thursday 11th February 2010 - B Division Quizzes being set by Paul Finch, and C Division quizzes by John Doyle. Many thanks to Paul and John.
