Challenge Cup 2013
After a rule change brought in at the 2011 AGM, the format of the
Challenge Cup was changed. From
2012 instead of a
knockout competitition, the qualifiers for the Semi Finals will be
the three teams which win their respective League handicap competitions
and the current holders of the Challenge Cup.
The qualifiers for the 2012 Challenge Cup Semi Finals were as
follows: East End Nomads & Key Club ( winners of the
A & B Division Handicap leagues),
Coundon CC (holders) and Winlaton Vulcans (runners-up to Coundon CC
in the Div C Handicap League). The semi-final draw will take place on the
night.
The Semi Finals and Final of the
2013 competition
will take place at the Key Club (Byker & Heaton Union Club) on Thursday,
23rd May
2013.
